Description

An exploration of the visual arts of Europe, Asia, Africa, and the Americas from 1400 to 1800, focusing on how art responded to significant cultural, religious, and political transformations. Students analyze major movements such as the Renaissance, Baroque, Rococo, and Neoclassicism, while also examining global trade, colonialism, and cross-cultural exchanges. Emphasis is placed on the evolving roles of artists and patrons, the use of art as a tool of power and belief, and the ways art reflected and shaped societal change.
