A field study of the distribution and adaptations of plants and animals in the coastal rivers, sounds, and barrier islands of the North Carolina coast. Involves daily field trips for observations and collections. Prerequisite: None, but some prior study and understanding of plant and animal taxonomy is presumed. Note: Limited enrollment; open only by application to the department.
