Description
This course provides a comprehensive study of the structure and function of the human body, integrating anatomical and physiological concepts at the cellular, histological, organ, and organ system levels. Topics include the organization of the human body, cellular function, histology, and studies of the integumentary, skeletal, muscular, and nervous systems. Emphasis is placed on the interrelationships between structure and function, as well as the regulatory mechanisms that maintain physiological balance. Laboratory exercises complement the lecture by incorporating hands-on dissections, microscopy, physiological experiments, and interactive models to reinforce theoretical knowledge.
Prerequisite: BIO 101 or CHE 200.
