Description

An overview of American criminal law with emphasis on definitions, crime data, and case law. Criminal procedure, prosecution, and defense are outlined and discussed in detail. The role of law and the adversiarial system are addressed in understanding the structure and functioning of the courts, including criminal trial and sentencing practices. Fall.
Prerequisite: CCJ 101 (or CCJ 230).
