Pharmaceutical Research Project I
Pharm Research Project I is the first in a two-part capstone research sequence designed to engage students in independent, faculty-mentored research within the pharmaceutical sciences. This course focuses on research design, literature review, and proposal development. Students will select a research topic related to pharmaceutical chemistry, medicinal chemistry, drug development, pharmacology, or a related field, and conduct a comprehensive review of current literature. Emphasis is placed on hypothesis development, experimental planning, ethical research practices, and scientific communication. By the end of the course, students will produce a formal research proposal and deliver an oral presentation of their project plan in preparation for implementation in Research Project II.
Prerequisites: CHE 311, CHE 312, CHE 327, and CHE 425.
