Description
Designed to provide teacher education candidates prior to the student teaching semester with a supervised laboratory experience involving active participation in the classroom. Fall. Prerequisite: Stage II. Note 1: Open only to the Professional Year student. Minimum of 40 hours of observation and participation in the assigned classroom required for all licensure areas; one full day per week for elementary education majors and education for the deaf and hard of hearing majors. Note 2: Pass/Fail grading. Note 3: Practicum assessments are filed in student folders and are always available for review. Assessments can also be reviewed with the advisor during advisor/advisee conferences.
