Description

This course is a continuation of EDU 544 with field-based training for aspiring school administrators. Emphasis will be on instructional leadership, organizational management, human resource management, personnel evaluation, budgeting, and accountability systems. In this course, the student will be placed in a public school as an administrative intern for one semester for a minimum total of 250 hours. The intern will continue to complete the activities in the internship plan developed in collaboration with the school supervisor. In addition, the intern will complete a project designed for the school by the intern and the school supervisor. The project will include a description of the need for the project, methodology, and literary research.

Prerequisites: Successful completion of EDU 544.
