Description
This international travel course is designed to partially fulfill the Honors Program co-curricular requirements of service, culture, and community. During the travel experience, students will engage in service projects at a local elementary school, experience the culture of Costa Rica through homestays with local Costa Rican host families and travel excursions throughout the country, and foster a sense of sense of community as Honors Program participants. The course will allow students to experience modern Costa Rica, as well as its cultural heritage though planned activities including a day-long exursion to examine the culture of one of Costa Rica's indigenous people.
