	Description
		
			This course prepares the student as a direct care provider for individuals and families experiencing alterations in health status through the life span and for their communities. The student incorporates critical thinking and the nursing process to achieve course objectives. Critical concepts include communication, responsibility, and accountability in professional roles of teaching-learning. Learning opportunities prepare the student to provide health care for clients experiencing acute and chronic health problems. Medication competency (95%) required prior to attending clinical. Spring. Prerequisites: NUR 307, PSY 220. Corequisite: NUR 313.
