Description

Examination of organization theory, management theory and their applications to nursing administrative leadership issues. Analyze trends in organizational strategy, policy, politics, financial and economic influence on health care access and the health care system. Standards and frameworks of competencies in Nursing Administration are reviewed as guidelines for career development. Evidence based management and promotion of a culture of safety is explored as a basis for health related organizational development. Develop a personal vision related to organizational behavior in nursing administration, synthesize key components of the leadership role, analyze the effect of leadership on the culture of organization behavior, examine leadership in a health care political environment and apply evidence-based leadership strategies that lead to positive outcomes in organizational behavior.
