Description
A survey of the theories,factors,structures a nd processes that effect crime and delinquenc y and review of policies,programs,social inst itutuions and measure employed to reduce the level of criminal victimization in American s ociety. The course will place emphasis on con tributions from the research literature on ap proaches that have proven effective and/or ho ld promise for preventing crime and delinquen cy. Spring Prerequisite: CJC 101 (or CJC 230).
