Description

A study of the techniques of computer-based audio production and recording. The course will provide an introduction to hard disk recording and non-linear audio editing using a computer-based Digital Audio Workstation. Students will edit, mix, and record music using the Digital Audio Workstation and software "plug-in" effects. The course will also offer a practical study of the techniques of audio post-production for film and video, such as sound effects editing, sound design, and dialogue editing. Fall. Prerequisite: COM 310.
