Description

An introduction to the concepts and applications of audio production and post-production for film and video. Students will explore the history of sound for film, film-making practices, theater sound formats, television audio production, and synchronization with SMPTE time code. Students experience industry techniques such as the recording and editing of dialogue, ADR, sound effects, and music in projects and music in projects and in a class film production. Spring. Prerequisites: COM 215, 216.
