Description

Introduction to current theories and research findings on different kinds of exceptional children, including the mentally retarded, learning disabled, children with visual and hearing impairments, children with behavioral and emotional disturbances, and the academically gifted. Topics include classification, facility needs, state and federal regulations, and employment and educational opportunities for exceptional individuals. Fall, Spring. Corequisite: EDU 300.
