A study of anatomy and physiology of the speech and hearing mechanisms, the nature of English speech sounds, the production of speech sounds, the prosodic elements of connected speech, assessment of hearing sites of lesion and etiology of hearing loss, and the reading and interpreting of audiometric evaluations.
