(Developmental Assessment of Young Children)
This course begins with a study of typical and atypical development of children ages birth through five years of age. The course also provides diagnostic skills and preparation in sufficient depth to develop competencies in screening and developmental assessment. Students will become knowledgeable in assessment tools and techniques appropriate for assessing the young child and planning appropriate programs to meet individual needs of all young children. Prerequisite: Stage I.
