Description

This course is designed to build upon the student’s foundational skills in literacy with an emphasis on the higher level hierarchy skills needed in reading based on the Science of Reading. Students will demonstrate content knowledge and competency in utilizing the North Carolina Standard Course of Study to plan interdisciplinary instruction. Students will be looking at data from case studies to identify strengths and weaknesses in the data along with planning next steps of instruction. Throughout this course, students will become familiar with evolving reading research in the field.

Note: There is a 3 month subscription to an online program that will be an additional fee.
Prerequisite: EDU 320 andStage I. Corequisite: EDU 360.
