Description
This course is designed to provide teacher candidates with knowledge and application of methods used to present mathematical concepts to students in grades 4 - 8. Emphasis will be placed on concept introduction, concept expansion and reinforcement, and assessment practices for these grade levels. Course content is aligned with the North Carolina Standard Course of Study. There will be a field experience component embedded in this course.
Prerequisites: QRT 120 or MTH 130, MTH 210 and Stage II.
