Description
This couse proveds students a foundation in health and information literacy for students majoring in allied health professions. It will include an overview of allied health and the value of a multidisciplinary team to partner with patients/clients to optimize health outcomes. Topics to be covered include an overview of the U.S. health care system, examination of various rolse of healthcare team members, strategies to design a professional life, social determinants of health, health disparities, and cultural competency.
