Description
This is an entry level course in the study of the official coding rules, guidelines,and classification systems for assigning valid diagnostic and/or procedure codes utilizing ICD-10-CM. Students will abstract health information according to regulatory guidelines for acute hospital coding. Emphasis is placed on ICD coding system. Upon completion, student should be able to properly code diagnoses in a medical facility.
