Description
This course prepares the student as a direct care provider to individuals, families, and groups. The student incorporates critical thinking and the nursing process to achieve course objectives. Critical concepts include communication, responsibility, and accountability in professional roles, teaching-learning, research utilization, and leadership. Learning opportunities prepare the student for strengthening professional nursing behaviors through synthesis of nursing knowledge. Medication competency (95%) required prior to attending clinical.
