Description
This course will explore the different literary genres and relevant authors from the Hispanic World (Spain,
Latin America and Hispanic literary production in the US). Materials will include complete novels and selections from poems, essays, short stories, and nonfiction writings. By analyzing the text elements as well as the socio-historical circumstances in which these works were produced, this literature and culture class will give students the opportunity to learn about the diverse nature of Hispanic cultures, discourses, and identities.
